Voters Awareness Rally Under SVEEP

GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized a rally to create voter awareness as part of
National Voters Day under the esteemed guidance of Prof Hans Raj, Principal of the
college. He flagged off the rally from the college premises, after passing through Neeli
Nallah Bazar the rally culminated back to the college. He also addressed the students that
it is important for every youth who has attained 18 years of age to get themselves
registered in the voter list and must vote in the upcoming parliamentary election, along
with their family members to exercise their franchise to strengthening democracy and
enhancement of Electoral participation. Over 100 students took part in the rally carrying
placards in their hands and were raising slogans on the importance of voting. The
students took part in the signature campaign to create awareness of the importance of
voting as part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)
activities. The whole event was organized by Dr. Akhter Hussain. The other members of
organising committee were Dr. Sunil Tanoch and Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Dr. Zahoor
Mir, Dr. Mahima Bhagat and Dr. Muntazir Ahmed Bhat.
