Red Ribbon Club Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur launched an intensified IEC Campaign for HIV/AIDS Awareness in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society in which a Poster making competition was organized on “International Youth Day” on the theme “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora, Principal of the college. The purpose of the program was to create awareness among the students about this deadly disease. A total of 15 students displayed their posters showcasing their creativity and depicting their ideas. Their exceptional artwork conveyed a powerful message about community leadership in combating fatal disease. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasized the importance of knowing about AIDS for keeping one self away from this dreaded disease. She deliberated on the causes and consequences of AIDS and awared the students, as to how can everyone play an active role in propagation of AIDS awareness among the common masses of the nation and entire world. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the participants and congratulated them. Dr. Sunil Tanoch (HOD Sociology) was the Convenor of the event. Others present in the event were Dr. Maansi Sharma, Prof. Rekha Sharma, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Mr. Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal.
