GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur Organizes One Day Awareness Program Under SVEEP

NSS Unit and IQAC Cell, Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, organized
Awareness Lecture under the banner of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral
Participation Programme (SVEEP) The event was started with the Voters pledge which was
taken by all the students along with all the staff of the college. The programme was organized
under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Rat.The awareness
lectures on the Topic were delivered by Dr.Akhter Hussain and Dr.Nishat khan. A large
number of students attended the Awareness program.
The event was started with keynote address by Prof. Hans Raj, Principal. While speaking on
the occasion, he emphasized that the purpose of the programme was to aware the students
regarding electoral literacy and also to empower them with the knowledge to participate
effectively in the election process so that no voter to be left behind.
Further, Dr.Akhter Hussain and Dr.Nishat khan motivated the students to ensure their
enrollment in the electoral list in order to enhance the participation in forthcoming elections
for stronger democracy.
The whole event was organized by Dr.Sunil Tanoch, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen,Dr. Akhter
Hussain, Dr.zahoor Mir,Dr.Nishat khan,Dr.Mahima Bhagat .
