GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur Organised Pledge And Rally On Tobacco Free Educational Institutions Under The Mission G20 Awareness

Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur organized poster making, Slogan writing competition, Pledge taking ceremony followed by rally on the theme “TOBACCO FREE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND SOCIETY”, today on 15th April 2023 under the banner G20. The whole event was conducted under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Raj. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college stressed on refraining the use of all tobacco and associated products (primarily cigarettes, e-cigarettes and chew) on all campus ground and facilities. Prevent sale of all tobacco-related products and merchandise in the campus vicinity. Eliminate or remove all tobacco-industry advertising promotions and marketing from campus literature if any. A rally was also flagged off by the Principal of the college from college premises, by passing through Neeli nallah bazar culminated back with the motive to aware the society as well. The students were holding the placard depicting the harmful effects of using tobacco and were also raising the slogans against Tobacco use.
Prof.Shaista Yasmeen was the convener of the programme. The organizers of the event were Dr.Radha Rani , Prof. Swati Dutt and Dr.Ranjeeta Langeh. Others who present were Ms. Shalu Jamoria, Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhatti, Ms. Riya Khajuria.Ms.Manisha Kanchru,Ms.Pratiba Heer and Ms .Parul Chibber.
